We are thrilled to announce the launch of the SAN Photo Contest — Regenerative Agriculture: Fostering Resilient Landscapes and Livelihoods — an open call to photographers everywhere to turn their lenses toward one of the most important movements of our time.
Why This Contest Matters

Regenerative agriculture is more than a farming method. It is a vision for a better world — one that restores soils, revives biodiversity, strengthens communities, and builds resilience against a changing climate. But data and reports can only tell part of the story. The most powerful proof lives in a single image: a farmer's hands in rich, dark earth, a field buzzing with pollinators, a landscape transformed by care and commitment.
This contest is your invitation to capture that proof and share it with the world.
Three Categories to Inspire You
Agrobiodiversity: Crops, pollinators, soil life, agroforestry, and the rich biodiversity woven into farming landscapes.
Landscapes: Agricultural landscapes where regenerative practices are visibly building ecological resilience.
People & Livelihoods: The faces and stories of people whose lives, futures, and communities are connected to regenerative agriculture.
Whether you are a seasoned photojournalist or a passionate farmer with a smartphone, if you have a story to tell through your lens, this contest is for you.
Prizes Worth Shooting For
The Overall 1st Prize awards $1,000 USD, while the People's Choice Award carries $400 USD. Each of the three Category Winners receives $200 USD. Beyond the prize money, finalists will be featured at the Regenerative Agriculture Forum in Brazil — placing your work in front of leaders and changemakers shaping the future of sustainable agriculture.
Important Dates
Submissions open on April 15, 2026 and close on May 15, 2026. Jury review and public voting will take place in late May, with winners announced in June 2026.
What You Need to Know
The contest is open to participants worldwide, 18 years or older. You may submit up to 3 photos across all categories. Files must be JPEG or PNG, with a minimum of 3,000px on the longest side and a maximum of 25 MB each.
Only original work is accepted. AI-generated, AI-assisted, or composite images are not permitted, though basic post-processing such as cropping, color, and exposure adjustments is allowed.
Photographers retain full copyright; by submitting, you grant SAN a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use images in support of its mission. Photos featuring identifiable people require signed model releases.
Photographers: Be Part of Something Bigger
Regenerative agriculture — when scaled with credibility and farmer-centered design — represents one of the most powerful pathways to climate mitigation, nature recovery, and sustainable food systems. Every farm, every community, and every landscape tells a chapter of that story.
Your photograph could be the image that moves someone to act, to invest, to believe.
Submissions open April 15, 2026. Start scouting your locations, connecting with farming communities, and finding the moments that make regenerative agriculture visible.
